St Edmund's Episcopal Church San Marino

The Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Debra Spaulding and her amazing Team (Veronica Guerrero, Amy Hulick, Danny Jones, Cheryl and Gary Mendoza, Carleen and John Miller, Julie and John Quinn, Gail Rolfe), with the assistance of many others, brought us “An Evening Under The Stars” last Saturday under a near full-moon on the enchanting Pomegranate Patio at the Old Mill…surely one of the only 200 year old Spanish Colonial buildings in such supernal shape on this side of the New World!

The Kaleidescope Chamber Group and Richard Seymour brought winsome music our way, and our very own auctioneer Joel Athey proved again that he is the best auctioneer in L.A. and the funniest lawyer on the West Coast!

A grand and joyful evening.

Parish communities inhabit near simultaneous locations of grief and gladness at intersecting moment. We mourn the loss of Jeanne G. DeKruif, whose Burial Office will be this coming Thursday at 2pm in the Church. Requiescat in Pace, beautiful Jeanne, with deep prayer for husband Bob DeKruif and the large, well-loved family.
